HCG levels not doubling

I guess I am looking for reassurance. I am roughly 7 wks pregnant and my hcgs have looked like this:
9-23-05 78,
9-25-05 95,
9-27-05 128
10-11-05 5001.

I believe my lmp was 8-23-05. I have been symptomatic, ie., intermittent breast tenderness with more blue veins on upper chest, frequent urination, a bit more fatigue, and constant queasiness, as well as heavy gas(belching) and some abdominal heaviness. I have had NO signs of impending miscarriage(I have had 3 in the last 3 1/2 yrs.) My early number obviously did not double and now the average doubling time (1st hcg to last) is now averaged at 72 hrs. Am I fighting a losing battle or have there been successes with this kind of beginning.

44 & Praying Hard

Dear Cheryl,

I am very sorry to say that I cannot offer reassurance or encouragement. You already know that the HCG levels indicate that the pregnancy is not normal. I have never seen a situation like this work out. By now, an ultrasound should show a baby and perhaps the heartbeat. If the baby has not yet been seen, you can be sure that this is a miscarriage.

I'm sorry.
